We’d like to give a big welcome to our newest employee, Maryn Jacobs! We’re beyond excited to add such an experienced and talented designer as Maryn to our team. Here’s a little bit about Maryn’s background and what inspired her to be a designer:
With a love of fine art as long as she can remember, Maryn decided a career route as a graphic designer fit her best. Inspired by the world of fashion magazines and Pop Art icons like Andy Warhol, she pursued a degree in Graphic Design at Towson University, graduating in 2003. From there, Maryn began her career in publication design and advertising for The Rosen Group in Baltimore; working her way from Junior Designer to Art Director over her 8 years. She has designed for nationally published AmericanStyle and NICHE magazines, as well as the trade shows Buyers Market of American Craft and NICHE: The Show, Las Vegas.
In 2011, Maryn joined the marketing team at the National Aquarium. There she was able to combine her love of design with her love of animals, creating beautiful works for the nationally recognized institution. For the past three years, Maryn has enjoyed being the principal of her own company, Beaux M. Inc. During this time she has had the privilege of running the design gamut, handling projects that have ranged from advertising to website design and brand identity for clients across the country. And now, Maryn is excited to join the Duckpin team and roll with them to bigger and better things.
