PCA’s Augmented Reality Brand Transformation

January 27, 2014 by Andrew Woods

Duckpin teamed up with PCA website | facebook to share the transformation of their brand through a unique form of brand communication, augmented reality (AR).

PCA built an inspiring 4+ foot tall sculpture at the entrance of their Timonium, MD facility using old steel letters from past signage. Turning this “junk” into an engaging branded sculpture was an exciting project on its own, but together we decided to bring the sculpture to life. Using AR, we were able to make the PCA sculpture our visual target, overlaying a custom motion graphics piece showcasing the transformation of the PCA brand over 40 years.

One great feature of this AR experience is that it can be triggered via the wall itself, printed pieces that incorporate an image of the wall, and even our blog post below!

To try it out, download “Junaio” on the App Store or Google Play. Click the “scan” button in the top right corner, point your device at the image below, and watch it come to life!
